Buffett predicts the prosperity of American trade, he is not going to retire
The Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate made a profit during the fourth quarter.
US billionaire Warren Buffett has called on investors to maintain their faith in the US economy and the businesses it owns in the Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate.
He said that despite the harsh economic impact of the
coronavirus pandemic, American trade would soon prosper.
"Despite several major interventions, our country's progress has always been breathtaking," Buffett, 90, told shareholders.
The Nebraska native has assured shareholders that he has no plans to retire. He added that in the past, one of
Berkshire Hathaway's most experienced managers retired "when he was a ridiculous 103 years old."
The conglomerate said that although the pandemic affected most of its business and several major companies, it made a profit of $ 35.8 billion (€ 29.54 billion) in the fourth quarter of last year.
