Call for Government Assistance from German Tourism Professionals
German tourism professionals sought help from the government on the grounds that they were negatively affected by the restrictions applied due to the new type of Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. German tourism professionals gathered at Alexander Square in the capital of Germany, Berlin, protesting the situation by walking from Unter den Linden Street to Brandenburg Gate. There were slogans such as "Save the tourism sector", "We will not have a place without tourism" and "100 thousand people will lose their jobs" on the banners and currencies carried by the representatives of the tourism sector.
In the speeches made during the protest, it was stated that the aid of the German government to small and medium-sized enterprises is not sufficient, while those who live with tourism have come to the stage of bankruptcy.
