With the third harvest, which started on September 1, purchase has been made for 50 thousand tons of fresh tea. In the written statement made by the General Directorate of Tea Enterprises (ÇAYKUR), it was reported that the third harvest purchases that started on September 1 are still continuing. In the statement underlining that 50 thousand tons of fresh tea has been purchased so far in the third harvest purchase, it was informed that 569 thousand tons of tea have been purchased since the beginning of 2020.   In the statement, it was emphasized that in the third harvest periods of the past years, tea was purchased more than ever before and the following statements were given: “During this period, we exceed our purchase limits and purchased an average of 10 thousand tons of tea per day to produce full capacity in return. We have combined all of our administrative and technical facilities in order to be able to purchase and produce tea without any problems. " On the other hand, in the statement, which stated that the measures taken during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic period were continued with determination, manufacturers were asked to comply with mask, distance and cleaning rules in order to minimize the risk of disease transmission.
