CBRT May Increases Interest Rates by 175 Base Points. According to the survey conducted by Bloomberg HT, CBRT may raise the interest rate by 175 basis points. The interest will be increased to 12 percent according to the median expectations of the institutions participating in the Central Bank interest decision survey.

According to the median of the expectations of 19 institutions participating in the expectation survey of the CBRT's interest rate decision prepared by the Bloomberg HT Research Desk, it is predicted that the policy rate will be increased by 175 basis points to 12 percent.
Announcing the lowest interest rate expectation, the institution estimates that the policy rate will be raised by 100 basis points to 11.25 percent. The institution that shares the highest interest rate estimate expects the policy rate to be increased by 250 basis points to 12.75 percent.
The median expectation of institutions for the policy rate at the end of the year is 12.50 percent by the end of 2020.
Announcing the lowest forecast for the end of the year, the institution expects the policy rate to be increased by 125 basis points to 11.50 percent, while the institution that shares the highest expectation, expects the interest rate to be increased by 350 basis points to 15 percent.
