CDC recommended the use of the Pfizer /
BioNTech vaccine in the USA. In a statement made by the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, advice was given on the use of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.
US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended the use of the vaccine developed by the German biotechnology company BioNTech, which was founded by the Turkish Prof. Dr. Uğur Şahin, and distributed by the American pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
At the meeting organized by the CDC Advisory Board, it was decided to make recommendations for the use of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine in patients over the age of 16. CDC Director Robert Redfield is also expected to approve the use of the vaccine, following the Board's recommendation within a few hours.
Pfizer reported that the first coronavirus vaccines in the USA will arrive on Sunday morning.
In the statement made by Pfizer, it was stated that the vaccine, which was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), will be distributed from the headquarters in Michigan on Sunday morning. The statement did not provide detailed information on the advanced stages of vaccine distribution.
The FDA allowed the use of the coronavirus vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech on Friday night.
