The Central Bank of Turkey raised the weekly interest swap rate. The bank increased the TL interest used in weekly swap transactions to 13.25 percent.

Central Bank Raised the Weekly Swap Rate The Central Bank of Turkey raised the weekly interest swap rate. The bank increased the TL interest used in weekly swap transactions to 13.25 percent. Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) increased the weekly interest rate swaps pulled the Turkish Lira from 11.75 percent to 13.25 percent. The CBRT increased the swap rate from 10.25 percent to 11.75 percent on October 9. While the USD / TL exchange rate was traded at 8.45 before tightening, it fell to 8.43 after the decision. While the weekly open swap positions total $ 9.7 billion, there is a gold position of $ 2.5 billion.
