China Sought Starbucks for Help With US Relations
China has sought Starbucks for help with US relations. This assistance was requested to improve
US-China relations.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has asked Starbucks to help improve the US-China relations that have deteriorated in recent years. President Xi Jinping wrote a letter to retired Starbucks President Howard Schultz. The letter dated January 6, released by the Xinhua news agency, included the following statements:
“I hope Starbucks will make an active effort to improve the economic, commercial and bilateral relations between the US and China.”
In addition to these statements, President Xi noted the following in the letter:
“China had embarked on a new journey to build a fully modern socialist country that would provide companies like Starbucks with a global development space in China.”
Chinese President Xi Jinping was striving to improve ties with US business people in order to improve relations with the United States and highlighted his stabilizing role in bilateral relations.
Relations between the US and China have deteriorated every day in the four years since Donald Trump's election to the US presidency.
