China Will Continue To Reduce Tariffs And Increase Imports
Chinese President Xi Jinping said, China will continue to reduce tariffs and increase imports of high-quality goods and services.
He also promised further reforms and support for an innovation-based growth model.
"We will continue to reduce tariffs and institutional costs and expand imports of high-quality products and services from all countries," he said in a video on the
APEC CEO Dialogues forum ahead of Friday's (November 20) virtual leaders' summit on the future of international cooperation.
The President also called for intensified coordination of international communities and called globalization irreversible. According to him,
China will not try to "disconnect" or create exclusive small circles.
He also said that China would sign free trade agreements with other countries, seeking to promote the New Silk Road initiative.
