CMB Decision for a Stock that recorded a premium of 669 percent

The Capital Markets Board announced that they have taken a cautionary decision for
Gesan Girişim Elektrik Sanayi stock, which has been rising breathlessly for the last year.
On August 18, 2021, it was recorded that the stock, which was traded at 18.70 liras on August 18, 2021, was traded at 131.50 liras on the first trading day of the week. A cautionary decision was taken from the CMB in the evening regarding the stock that closed the ceiling.
CMB made the following evaluation regarding the issue experienced:
"It will not be subject to short sale and credit transactions from transactions dated 18/10/2022 (beginning of the session) to transactions dated 17/11/2022 (end of the session)."
The stock is among the top gainers of the stock market. The last one-year premium of the stock, which rose 43 percent in the last week and 102 percent in a month, reached figures such as 669 percent.
