Coinbase Launched Its NFT Marketplace
Coinbase launched its NFT marketplace. The platform was initially opened to a small portion of the user group.
Coinbase, which is seen as the largest stock exchange in the USA, announced that it has opened the highly anticipated NFT marketplace, albeit as a beta version. As it will be remembered, more than a million people pre-registered on the first day when the platform was announced. In the following days, these people, whose total exceeds a million, will be able to benefit from various campaigns and opportunities.
The platform was initially opened to a small group of 3 million people on the waiting list, but no details were shared from the stock market or information about how long the trial period would be.
In a statement made by Coinbase on the subject, it was stated that as a result of the platform's policy of "creating a public NFT world", individual cryptocurrency wallets will also be valid in the marketplace in addition to the Coinbase wallet. The platform will also support the purchase of fiat money with credit profits.
Regarding transaction fees on the
NFT marketplace, Sanchan Saxena, a product manager at Coinbase, said that no transaction fees will be charged to users in the first period, with the exception of Ethereum gas costs and NFT owner royalties, Coinbase said, "This is a bigger platform than trading. This is a platform. It will be a platform to create community and connect with other communities. It will be a social marketplace.”
