The University of Michigan announced the consumer confidence index leading data for March, which it prepared based on the trends of American consumers. According to the announced data, Consumer Confidence increased by 6.2 points compared to the previous month and reached 83 in March. Consumer confidence, which recorded the highest level since March 2020 and exceeded market expectations, was estimated to be 78.5. The index was realized at the level of 76.8 in February. The current economic conditions index, which measures Americans' assessment of current financial conditions, rose 5.3 points per month in March and reached 91.5. The consumer expectations index, which reflects the long-term predictions of consumers, reached 77 with an increase of 6.8 points monthly in the same period.
