Consumer Confidence increased by 6.2 points compared to the previous month and reached 83 in March.
Consumer confidence, which recorded the highest level since March 2020 and exceeded market expectations, was estimated to be 78.5. The index was realized at the level of 76.8 in February. The current economic conditions index, which measures Americans' assessment of current financial conditions, rose 5.3 points per month in March and reached 91.5.
The consumer expectations index, which reflects the long-term predictions of consumers, reached 77 with an increase of 6.8 points monthly in the same period.
Chief Economist Richard Curtin stated that consumer confidence reached the highest level of a year with the effect of the vaccination studies carried out against the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic and the economic support package to combat the effects of the epidemic.
