The Ministry of Health announced the current coronavirus data for Monday, May 24. The latest data was shared on "covid19.saglik.gov.tr". According to the announced data, 216 thousand 655 tests were carried out today. A total of 7,523 new coronavirus cases were detected, with 702 people showing symptoms.

178 People Lost Their Lives

According to the announced data, 178 people died in the last 24 hours due to the coronavirus, accordingly, the total loss of life increased to 46,446. Today, the total number of healing patients increased to 5 million 34 thousand 316, with 10 thousand 3 people whose treatment/quarantine ended and recovered. It was informed that the rate of pneumonia in total patients was 3.2 percent and the total number of serious patients was 1 thousand 745. The bed occupancy rate across Turkey was 49.1 percent, adult intensive care occupancy rate was 61.9 percent, and the ventilator occupancy rate was 29.9 percent.
