The Ministry of Health announced current coronavirus data for Tuesday, May 18. The latest data was shared on "covid19.saglik.gov.tr". According to the announced data, 217 thousand 276 tests were carried out today. A total of 11 thousand 937 new coronavirus cases were detected, with 916 people showing symptoms.

203 People Lost Their Lives

According to the announced data, 203 people died in the last 24 hours due to coronavirus, accordingly, the total loss of life increased to 45 thousand 186. With the addition of 10 thousand 125 people whose treatment / quarantine ended today, the total number of patients recovered rose to 4 million 971 thousand 245. It was informed that the rate of pneumonia in total patients was 3.2 percent and the total number of serious patients was 2 thousand 232. The bed occupancy rate across Turkey was 45.5 percent, the adult intensive care occupancy rate was 62.5 percent, and the ventilator occupancy rate was 30.7 percent.
