Ankara City Hospital has now been included in the tests of the vaccine from China, which started at Hacettepe, Kocaeli and Istanbul universities. Coordinator Chief Physician Surel, who was one of the first people to be injected with the vaccine, stated that they hope to get rid of this evil as soon as possible by getting results from both domestic and foreign vaccines. Saying that currently only measures are being taken to prevent the spread and the transmission, Surel continued as follows: “When the vaccine is created, both our society and the rest of the world will have serious protection at this point and we will be able to break the pandemic. At the point of international studies of a vaccine that has now reached the stage of human study, our hospital is one of the rings in the trial process of this vaccine. We, like our other healthcare professionals, volunteered. This vaccine will be evaluated as soon as possible and hopefully we will have done our duty to give hope to both the people in our country and the rest of the world.” Ankara City Hospital Infectious Diseases Clinic Training Supervisor and Coronavirus Scientific Committee Member Prof. Dr. Rahmet Güner also stated that the first trial of the inactive Sars-Cov2 vaccine produced against Covid-19 was made in the hospital and expressed that they hope that the local vaccine will also be applied in the near future. In addition, Güner stated that the vaccine in question was 100 thousand doses in China, 7 thousand in Brazil and 1500 doses in Indonesia. Applying vaccine tests in 25 centers in Turkey.
