Important channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers such as 'BitBoy Crypto', 'Altcoin Buzz', 'Box Mining', 'Floyd Mayweather', 'Ivan on Tech' and 'The Moon' have been affected by the cyber attack that happened yesterday evening. The hackers, who somehow took over the channels, broadcasted videos from all channels at the same time, demanding donations from viewers for a fake cryptocurrency project. Channel owners quickly realized the situation and deleted the videos. It is stated that some broadcasts are blocked by YouTube. It is stated that $850 worth of cryptocurrencies have been sent to the addresses given in the videos so far. It is still unknown how the YouTube channels were hacked. Channel owners state that there is absolutely no unauthorized access to their devices. Only one victim is thought to have been exposed to a SIM swap. So all doubts are directed at YouTube itself.
