Cyprus is Ready to Open Doors for Tourists From June 15th

House trade committee chairman said on Tuesday that Cyprus will be ready to re-open its doors to tourists from June 15th after the tourist protocols are implemented. Cyprus hopes to compensate for about 30 percent of last year's data. Committee chairman Andreas Kyprianou spoke after a teleconference meeting with Deputy Minister of Tourism Savvas Perdios Kyprianou reiterated what Perdios said on Monday and said the government's goal is to compensate for at least 30 percent of 2019 arrival figures. Approximately 4 million tourists visited the country last year and total revenue was recorded as € 2.6 billion. Kyprianou and Perdios stated that the goal is to achieve at least one million tourists and about 800 million € income by the end of the year. He also said that municipalities all over Cyprus will call to allow restaurants and bars to allow the expansion of open spaces for customers so that more people can safely enjoy the holiday. “We will be ready to open our doors on June 15, but they will still all depend on the decisions to be taken by the council of ministers, the recommendations of epidemiologists and the decisions made by the health and transport ministries. ” statements were used.
