DOGE Prices Broke A Record!
DOGE prices, known as the "joke money" of the cryptocurrency markets, broke a record. So why is Dogecoin rising?
DOGE prices broke a record. Dogecoin reached its highest level in its history, hitting $ 0.02 for the first time. So much so that the DOGE price, which climbed above this level, reached the level of $ 0.028 around 18:30 TSI. Later, it fell to the level of $ 0.018.
Dogecoin, which started the day at about $ 0.0075, gained 270 percent during the day.
Dogecoin price previously broke a record on January 7, 2018. Cryptocurrency had climbed to $ 0.019 on the aforementioned date.
Why Is The Joke Money Rising?
This leap in DOGE, known as "joke money", came about when a Twitter account linked to the r/WallStreetBets group on Reddit, which caused the rise in
GameStop (GME) shares, which is on the agenda of the whole world, also mentioned Dogecoin.
In the post this morning on the account in question, following was stated, "You are all talking about Dogecoin. What is this? Is it a 'meme' cryptocurrency?” The DOGE price climbed from $ 0.0075 to $ 0.0145 after this post. The same account, in another post, said, "Did the Doge ever hit $1?"
This price increase continued with a second wave in the evening. It is thought that the reason for this fluctuation is that the Robinhood platform, which is used by individual investors to buy shares, is closing shares such as GME and AMC. Because cryptocurrency transactions can also be performed in Robinhood. There are 17 different
cryptocurrencies on this application, including Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Litecoin.
