Dollar Looks Stable Before MPC Meeting The dollar looks stable before the MPC meeting. Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) will announce its interest rate decision today. Before the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) December monetary policy meeting, the domestic market seems to be calm. CBRT will announce its policy rate decision after the meeting today. The dollar / TL exchange rate, which closed at the 7.6428 on Wednesday without showing sharp fluctuations, opened the day at the same levels this morning. Dollar / TL was traded at 7.6486 and Euro / TL at 9.3366 without much movement at 8:45 am. The currency basket has reached 8.4931. According to the information in the news of Bloomberg HT, the Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index (BBDXY), which measures the value of the dollar against major markets, was slightly negative by 1,126.52 points today. According to the results of the Bloomberg HT Research Desk's survey, economists expect the bank to raise 150 basis points in the meeting. At the first meeting of the new President of the CBRT, Naci Ağbal, the highest rate increase in 2 years was made and the policy rate was increased by 475 basis points to 15 percent. Decision was made to make all funding from weekly repo. In addition, the weekly securities statistics of the CBRT will be announced today at 2:30 pm.
