Dollar / TL Rate Increased After Inflation Data
Dollar / TL rate increased after inflation data. Consumer prices increased by 14.03 percent annually and 2.3 percent monthly in November. After the inflation data was announced above expectations, dollar/TL rose.
The
dollar / TL, which completed Wednesday at the level of 7.8619, started today's transactions stably. However, the exchange rate started to rise right after the November inflation data was announced.
According to the data announced, inflation exceeded expectations in November and tested the highest level of 2020.
According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI) the consumer price index in November rose 14.03 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year. The monthly increase was recorded as 2.3 percent.
After the data, the exchange rate, which increased to 7.9168, was traded at 7.8853 with 0.30 percent gain at 10.15 am TSI. Euro / TL increased by 0.41 percent and traded from 9.5635. The currency basket was realized as 8.7195.
Turkish Lira gained value after the management change on the economy side in November and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized "new era" in a statement he made.

Borsa Istanbul opened with a 0.16 percent premium, after completing the day at 1.325.29 points yesterday with a gain of 0.02 percent. It turned its direction down after the announced inflation data.
