Economic Confidence Index Increased
Economic confidence index increased. The index, which increased 3.1 percent in September, reached the value of 88.5.
Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) announced data on economic sentiment index for September.
The
economic confidence index rose by 3.1 percent this month compared to August and reached 88.5. The increase in the economic confidence index stemmed from the increases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry) and service sector confidence indices.
In addition to the consumer confidence index, which increased by 3.2 percent on a monthly basis in September, the real sector confidence index increased by 0.5 percent to 105.7, and the service sector confidence index increased by 6.4 percent to 74.9.
In the same period, the retail trade confidence index decreased by 1.5 percent to 93.5, and the construction sector confidence index decreased by 2 percent to 83.3.
The update made in the consumer confidence index "September 2020 News Bulletin" was also reflected in the economic confidence index. It was stated that detailed methodological information can be found in the "Methodological document regarding the main revision in the economic confidence index".
