Electricity and Natural Gas Prices Increased Prices of electricity and natural gas have been increased. The new year brought along increased prices. Electricity prices increased by about 6 percent for all consumer groups, including taxes and funds. The Board decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) on the subject was published in the double issue of the Official Gazette. According to the calculation made from the tariff tables in the Official Gazette, an average of 6 percent increase will be applied for residential, industrial and commercial subscriber groups, including taxes and funds.   Natural Gas Prices Will Rise In addition to electricity, natural gas prices will also increase. According to the tariff table for January that was published on the website of BOTAŞ, the sales price applied to gas distribution companies for residential consumers is 1264 lira for 1000 cubic meters of natural gas, with an increase of 1 percent compared to the tariff valid in December, and for commercial, industrial and power generation plants, it was calculated as 1414 liras. Natural gas price tariffs are calculated monthly.
