Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on January 17 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 858 thousand 331 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 854 thousand 160 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 39 thousand 997 megawatt-hour at 3 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 30 thousand 52 megawatt-hour at 6 am.
While 858 thousand 331 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 854 thousand 160 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas plants ranked first in production with a share of 34.2 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 18.6 percent and wind power plants with 12.4 percent.
Besides, 344 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 4,434 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
