Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on January 2
Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on January 2 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 674 thousand 541 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 671 thousand 215 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 33 thousand 359 megawatt-hour at 7 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 24 thousand 487 megawatt-hour at 9 am.
While 674 thousand 541 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 671 thousand 215 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with a share of 25.6 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 22.8 percent and lignite coal plants with 17.5 percent.
Besides, 2.392 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 5,718 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
