Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on March 14 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 863 thousand 248 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 856 thousand 579 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred. According to data released by Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 40 thousand 225 megawatt-hour at 12 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 30 thousand 731 megawatt-hour at 5 am. While 863 thousand 248 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 856 thousand 579 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded. Natural gas plants ranked first in production with a share of 33.4 percent, followed by imported coal plants with 17.7 percent and wind power plants with 16.3 percent. Besides, 411 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 8,067 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
