Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on October 16 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 810 thousand 704 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 800 thousand 997 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 38 thousand 507 megawatt-hour at 7 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 28 thousand 300 megawatt-hour at 5 am.
While 810 thousand 704 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 800 thousand 997 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with a share of 34.19 percent, followed by imported coal power plants with 20.49 percent and hydroelectric power plants with dams with 19.56 percent.
Besides, 161 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 9,868 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
