Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey on October 18 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 773 thousand 248 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 762 thousand 748 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred.
According to data released by
Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis recorded as 36 thousand 227 megawatt-hour at 7 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 28 thousand 24 megawatt-hour at 5 am.
While 773 thousand 248 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 762 thousand 748 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded.
Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with a share of 35.35 percent, followed by imported coal power plants with 20.73 percent and hydroelectric power plants with dams with 14.83 percent.
Besides, 288 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 10,787 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
