Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey September 22 Electricity Production and Consumption Data of Turkey September 22 has been announced. Accordingly, yesterday, on a daily basis in Turkey 842 thousand 829 megawatt-hour electricity produced, 834 thousand 592 megawatt-hour electricity consumption occurred. Turkish Electricity Transmission Co. (TEIAS), according to data released yesterday, the highest electricity consumption on an hourly basis as 40 thousand 209 megawatt-hour at 8 pm, while the lowest consumption was made on 27 thousand 942 megawatt-hour at 7 am. While 842 thousand 829 megawatt-hours of electricity was produced on a daily basis yesterday, 834 thousand 592 megawatt-hours of consumption was recorded. Natural gas power plants ranked first in production with a share of 30.78 percent, followed by imported coal power plants with 22.50 percent and hydroelectric power plants with dams with 16.43 percent. Besides, 125 megawatt-hour of electricity was imported yesterday and 8,358 megawatt-hour of electricity was exported.
