Elon Musk Announced That Tesla Does Not Sell Bitcoin!
Following speculation by Elon Musk that Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) might have sold billions of dollars’ worth of Bitcoins, or was planning to do something similar, the downtrend of the leading crypto unit had accelerated further.
As usual, it was a one-word tweet that kindled the rumors. It was Musk himself who should have put out the fire, later telling everyone that Tesla did not do such a thing.
A Twitter user on Sunday discovered that Tesla was selling the company’s large assets on quarterly earnings and suggested that Bitcoin investors would be upset that they still held the leading cryptocurrency.
Tesla announced last quarter that it purchased $ 1.2 billion worth of Bitcoin.
Twitter user said it was time to quit Bitcoin due to Musk’s speculation from his social media platform, while Musk gave a one-word response, “Really.” This prompted speculation that Tesla is selling or will soon sell Bitcoin assets. At one point, Bitcoin fell 9 percent in value and fell to $ 42,000.
Musk then intervened with another tweet!
-Bitcoin has lost 20 percent since Elon Musk posted. And you still wonder why some people are angry?
-Musk said; Tesla did not sell any of its Bitcoins to clarify speculations.
Although Bitcoin’s price rose soon after, today it has dropped nearly 8 percent in morning trading and is trading below $ 45,000.
Long after consumers said they could now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin, Ceo Musk said last week that they would stop accepting Tesla payments as Bitcoin due to Bitcoin’s negative impact on the environment, and the market turned upside down.
Also, when talking about Dogecoin on Saturday Night Light recently hinted that it did not contain any real value, it caused great unrest in the market.
