Elon Musk May Expand to Russia
Elon Musk may expand to Russia. At a remote event in Moscow, Musk announced that his company would soon be in Russia.
Speaking at a student event sponsored by the Kremlin,
Elon Musk praised the achievements in Russia and stated that one day they will be able to establish a factory in the country.
Musk, who attended the event at the invitation of Kremlin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, answered questions for 45 minutes. Said, "I think we are very close to Tesla's presence in Russia, and it will be great." Elon Musk stated that they will try to establish factories in other parts of the world during this time.
According to Autostat's industry research, 5 thousand 300 used and 700 new electric vehicles were sold in Russia last year. Russia, one of the largest oil producers, has just started to work on infrastructure for electric cars.
The share of electric vehicles among passenger cars in Russia is less than 0.2 percent.
Elon Musk, however, underlined that there is a lot of talent and energy in Russia.
