In the statement he made at the Musk Clubhouse, he said, "I should have bought Bitcoin 8 years ago, I was late for the party." Stating that Bitcoin is a good thing and he is a supporter, the famous billionaire said, "It would be fun for Dogecoin to be a global currency."
After Musk tagged Bitcoin in the biography part of his Twitter account last week, the leading crypto currency BTC rose by 10 percent, and reached over $ 36,000.
Bitcoin, the most popular cryptocurrency, experienced an instant 15 percent increase in London transactions.
Musk also supported the Dogecoin rally with the magazine "Douge" with a dog on its cover, which he shared on his Twitter account earlier Friday. Created as the ultimate meme coin, Dogecoin saw a 300 percent increase in Friday's transactions.
