Adidas Enters The Metaverse World
Adidas enters the metaverse world. The world-famous sportswear brand Adidas has officially entered the world of metaverse.
In the statement made on the company’s Twitter account, Adidas said, “We are jumping into the Metaverse with Bored Ape Yacht Club, GMoney and Punks Comic. It’s time to enter the world of unlimited possibilities.”
Adidas also replaced the photo on its Twitter profile with an NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club.
Adidas announced on November 24 that it has partnered with Coinbase, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges. While the details of this partnership were not given, it was thought to be related to the NFT field. As it is known, Coinbase announced that it will open its own NFT platform a while ago. The company collaborates with many creators and brands for the NFT platform.
On the other hand, it was claimed that Adidas had recently purchased land in the Sandbox metaverse. The company also shared on Twitter last week about developing an “adiVerse” in partnership with Sandbox.
The growing interest in the Metaverse has also significantly impacted the price of Sandbox’s SAND token. SAND has gained more than 300 percent in the last month.
