BIST 100 Closed Thursday With A Record
BIST 100 index closed Thursday with a record. In Borsa Istanbul, the BIST 100 index completed the day with a 1.24 percent gain in value, bringing the closing record to 2,345.20 points.
At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 28.80 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 39.7 billion TL.
At the close, the banking index gained 3.63 percent and the holding index gained 0.98 percent. Among the sector indices, financial leasing and factoring were the highest earners with 5.65 percent, and the most decline was recorded on mining with 2.04 percent.
The BIST 100 index, which followed a buy heavy course throughout the day, closed the day at 2,345.20 points with 1.24 percent value gain, closing the highest level of all time.
Analysts stated that a volatile course prevailed in the global markets, while the Borsa Istanbul diverged positively, as the new sanctions against Russia and the US Federal Reserve (Fed) meeting minutes strengthened the expectations for aggressive tightening in monetary policy.
Analysts said that the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (
CBRT) market participants survey in the country, wholesale stocks in the USA and the foreign trade balance in Japan will be monitored closely.
It was stated that the level of 2,290 is in a position of support, while the levels of 2,350 and 2,400 stand out as the resistance for the
BIST 100 index.
