BIST 100 Index Closed Wednesday With A Rise

BIST 100 index closed Wednesday with a rise. BIST 100 index gained 0.21% in Borsa Istanbul and ended the day at 1,432.80 points.

At the end of the day, the total transaction volume in the BIST 100 index, which increased by 2.95 points compared to the previous close, was recorded as 18 billion TL. At the close, the banking index gained 1.10 percent, while the holding index depreciated by 0.15 percent. Among the sector indices, sports with the highest gain of 2.20 percent, while the most decline was recorded on transportation with 3.41%. Analysts said that inflation pressures and rising long-term bond yields continue to be risk factors, but optimism regarding the third quarter financial results supports the stock markets. It was stated that tomorrow, the interest rate decision to be announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) at the Monetary Policy Committee meeting, consumer confidence index, weekly unemployment applications in the USA and consumer confidence in the Eurozone will be monitored closely. In technical terms, analysts stated that the level of 1.444 stands out as the resistance and the level of 1.396 is in a position of support for the BIST 100 index.
