BIST 100 Index Started the Day with a Record

BIST 100 index started the day with a record. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,950.30 points with an increase of 1.19 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 22.91 points and 1.19 percent compared to the previous close, rose to an all-time high with 1,950.30 points. While the banking index gained 0.88 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.99 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest profit was recorded as trade with 3.99 percent, while the most decline was recorded on mining with 0.80 percent. Yesterday, the BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.89 percent compared to the previous closing, bringing the closing record to 1,927.39 points. Analysts said that today, treasury cash realizations in the country, industrial production and the ZEW expectation index in Germany, as well as growth in the Euro Zone and foreign trade data in the USA will be monitored closely. It was stated that developments regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic continue to remain in the focus of investors. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 1.950 and 1.970 are in a position of resistance and the level of 1.870 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
