BIST 100 Index Started Thursday With A Rise

BIST 100 index started Thursday with a rise. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 0.83 percent at 2,480.92 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 20.49 points and 0.83 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 2,480.92 points. At the opening, the banking index rose 0.95 percent and the holding index rose 1.10 percent. Among the sector indices, transportation was the highest earner with 1.81 percent, and the most decline was recorded on real estate investment partnership with 0.88 percent. After reaching its historical peak to 2,497.8 points yesterday, BIST 100 index started to decline with the profit sales that increased its effect and closed the day at 2,460.43 points with a decrease of 0.14 percent compared to the previous closing. Analysts noted that the risk appetite in global stock markets increased with the expectation that inflation might have peaked in the USA, and said that today the monetary policy decisions of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) are placed in the focus of investors. Stating that the central banks' interest rate decisions, as well as retail sales in the USA, weekly unemployment applications and the University of Michigan consumer confidence index data, will be monitored closely. It was stated that the level of 2,500 is in a position of resistance and the levels of 2.410 and 2.390 stand out as support for the BIST 100 index.
