BIST 100 Started Friday Horizontally

BIST 100 index started Friday horizontally. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 2,071.35 points with an increase of 0.03 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 0.70 points and 0.03 percent compared to the previous close, reached 2,071.35 points. While the banking index gained 0.06 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.04 percent. Among the sector indices, mining was the highest earner with 0.35 percent, while the most decline was recorded on tourism with 1.25 percent. BIST 100 index, which increased its value by 0.31% yesterday and carried its upward trend for the ninth consecutive trading day, closed the day at 2,070.65 points. Analysts said that after the hawkish monetary policy of the US Federal Reserve (Fed), a mixed course was followed in the global stock markets. It was stated that today, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) Market Participants Survey and housing sales will be monitored closely, and the intense data agenda will be followed abroad, especially industrial production in the UK and the USA. In technical terms, it was stated that the levels of 2.035 and 1.970 are in the support position, and the levels of 2090 and 2.120 are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
