BIST 100 Started Friday With Gains

BIST 100 index started Friday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day with an increase of 0.46 percent at 2.006.79 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 9.09 points and 0.46 percent compared to the previous close, reached 2,066.79 points. While the banking index gained 0.28 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 0.52 percent. Among the sector indices, forest, paper and printing were the highest earners with 0.88 percent, while the only decline was recorded on electricity with 0.12 percent. The BIST 100 index, which followed a buying-heavy course yesterday, closed the day at 1,997.69 points with a 2.38 percent gain. Analysts stated that due to the expectations regarding monetary policies and geopolitical risks, the transaction volumes in the global stock markets continued to be low and the volatility continued to be high, and that the risk appetite in the domestic markets increased relatively. It was stated that today, the economic confidence index in the country, the growth in Germany, the consumer confidence index in the Eurozone, and personal income and expenditures in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.880 is in a position of support and the level of 2.050 stands out as the resistance for BIST 100 index.
