BIST 100 Started This Week With A Fall

BIST 100 index started this week with a fall. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the week with a decrease of 1.56 percent at 2,018.97 points.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which lost 32.08 points and 1.56 percent compared to the previous close, decreased to 2,018.97 points. While the banking index depreciated by 1.50 percent at the opening, the holding index depreciated by 1.71 percent. While the biggest decline among the sector indices was recorded on transportation with 2.11 percent, only increase was recorded on tourism with 4.84 percent. BIST 100 index, which followed a buy-heavy course on Friday, closed at 2,051.05 points with a gain of 0,61 percent. Analysts stated that a negative course was observed in global stock markets with increasing geopolitical risks and said that the news flow regarding the tension between Russia and Ukraine will continue to be at the top of the agenda. Stating that stock-based movements may come to the fore with the continuation of the balance sheet announcements of companies traded in Borsa Istanbul, analysts stated that industrial production in the Eurozone and the statements of European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde will be monitored closely. It was stated that the level of 1,990 is in a position of support and the level of 2,090 stands out as the resistance for the BIST 100 index.
