BIST 100 Started Thursday With Gains

BIST 100 index started Thursday with gains. BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul started the day at 1,916.28 points with an increase of 1.10 percent.

At the beginning of the day, the BIST 100 index, which gained 20.81 points and 1.10 percent compared to the previous close, rose to 1,916.28 points. While the banking index gained 0.38 percent at the opening, the holding index gained 1.12 percent. Among the sector indices, the highest earner was construction with 3.39 percent, while the only decline was recorded on tourism with 0.30 percent. The BIST 100 index, which gained 2.43% value yesterday with the concentrated purchases in the holding and chemical sector shares in Borsa Istanbul, closed the day at 1,895.46 points. Analysts stated that the stock markets were mixed, with the concern that the increased restrictions due to the Omicron variant in the coronavirus epidemic could adversely affect the economic activity. It was stated that today, the economic confidence index and weekly money and bank statistics in the country, the housing price index in the UK and the weekly unemployment applications in the USA will be monitored closely. In technical terms, it was stated that the level of 1.940 is in a position of resistance and the level of 1.840 stands out as the support for the BIST 100 index.
