Candidates Began To Distribute NFTs In South Korean Elections
NFT wind blows in South Korean elections. In the presidential elections, candidates began to distribute NFTs to their supporters.
In a way, the election race in
South Korea turned into the NFT race. Yoon Suk-yeol, the conservative candidate of the country's presidential election to be held on March 9, included NFTs in his election campaigns to attract the attention of Generation Z.
South Korea's conservative presidential candidate, Yoon Suk-yeol, aims to impress generation Z with his NFT move. So far, Yoon Suk-yeol has printed at least 4,000 NFTs on the South Korean NFT marketplace CCCV, which start selling for 50,000 Korean won, or $40.78 each. He plans to release 22,329 NFTs in total.
According to the results of the latest poll conducted by Gallup Korea about the election; Yoon leads the race with 39 percent of the vote, while Democratic Party candidate Lee Jae-myung follows closely with 38 percent.
As a final reminder, Yoon's rival Lee had previously gifted his
NFTs to campaign donors last month to reach young voters in their 20s and 30s.
