Web3 Communities Help Ukraine!
Since the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, NFT communities have been working to help Ukrainian citizens in any way possible. Furthermore, so much help has come from the Web3 ecosystem that Ukraine has established an official crypto fund.
On March 2nd, about a week after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began, an unknown wallet donated CryptoPunk 5364 to Ukraine's crypto wallet. This donation is just one of the many NFT and crypto donations that Ukraine has received as the Blockchain community's aid has rallied across the country. Ukraine has reportedly raised over $150 million to date. Donated to this crypto fund last month, CryptoPunk was sold for 90 ETH ($100k at the time of donation). Mark Padun's NFT collection, however, will contribute to the relief efforts. Web3 initiatives are growing rapidly across the country. This includes both fundraising and Web3 migration.
