Jurrien Timmer, Fidelity's Global Macro Director, compared
Apple and Bitcoin via his Twitter account. Timmer sharing; He also pointed out that despite the decline in Bitcoin's price, the number of active Bitcoin addresses continues to increase continuously and steadily.
Jurrien Timmer said the following in his post:
"Apple's price has increased 1457 times and the price-to-sales ratio 30 times since 1996. If the growth in valuation is an exponent of the increase in sales (under the Metcalfe Law), then the price must increase as a power of both metrics."
After the Apple assessment, Jurrien Timmer made a similar statement for Bitcoin:
"Bitcoin's (BTC) value has increased 867 times and its price 640,633 times since 2011. If we apply Metcalfe's Law and calculate 867 squared, we get 751.111. This is roughly in line with the realized price gain of 640.633x."
