Finland Will Make a Bitcoin Donation to Ukraine
The Finnish government has stated that Bitcoins collected from cybercriminal operations will be donated to Ukraine.
Finland is planning a Bitcoin donation to Ukraine. Many countries have contributed millions of dollars worth of crypto assets to Ukraine as the war continues, which began with Russia's incursion on Ukrainian territory on February 24.
The Finnish government also announced that they plan to donate Bitcoins seized from criminal operations to the Ukrainian government.
The quantity of Bitcoin to be donated has not yet been established, but the current value suggests that the value may be approximately 77 million dollars.
The Finnish government has so far seized 1,981 BTC (approximately $78 million).
On the other hand, it is also claimed that the country's courts have ordered the transfer of the aforementioned Bitcoins to the state, with the intention of converting the BTCs into cash.
