France is preparing for a presidential election.

In the second round of the French presidential election, where President Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen faced off, citizens went to the polls to vote.

The election, in which 48.7 million people will vote, will take place between 08:00 and 19:00. In big cities, votes can be cast until 20:00. Official results will be announced on April 27. Center-right Republicans Party candidate Valerie Pecresse, who was eliminated from the first round of the election, center-left Socialist Party candidate Anne Hidalgo and Greens Party candidate Yannick Jadot, as well as former President Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande, many politicians, Important names of the sports and art world, non-governmental organizations demand the support of Macron from the voters to prevent Le Pen from coming to power. In the survey evaluations, the rate of those who support Macron among Melenchon voters has increased by 7 percent in the last week. Le Pen's efforts to get votes from Melenchon supporters did not yield any results either. Le Pen found the support he sought in the voters of the far-right Eric Zemmour, who received 7 percent of the vote in the first round of the election. According to polls, 72 percent of Zemmour supporters will vote for Le Pen in the second round.
