From Devlet Bahçeli to Kılıçdaroğlu; “Is It Humane to Make This Statement?”

The Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party, Devlet Bahçeli, said, "The Chairman of the CHP, who declared that it is a humanitarian duty to protect terrorist Demirtaş, tell us for God's sake, is it humane to make this statement? Is it an honorable act to praise betrayal? Is it within our values to say that injustice is done to a terrorist, how will it be interpreted and described with the principles of the law”.

Nationalist Movement Party leader Devlet Bahçeli attended the 17th Term Certificate Ceremony held at the MHP Headquarters Gün Sazak Conference Hall due to the completion of the education activities of his party's School of Politics and Leadership and made evaluations about the agenda. Bahceli said: "The border lines of prudence and survival coincide in many places. A shortsighted politician dreaming of conquest in the face of defeat by a policy without foresight, dreaming of a future in disgrace is as much of a delusion and moral exhaustion. Unfortunately, political recruits' freedom of thought and conscience has been suspended. During the Second Abdulhamid period, Münif Pasha, who also served as Minister of Education and Trade, stated that if people do not have freedom, their personality will not show. Due to a lack of foresight, the specific problem is becoming more severe by the day. If there is no personality, there is no consciousness. An unconscious politics is muddy, ugly and rotten, it is in one word and the same as a self-devouring organism. Politics, crime and the criminal's shelter, habitat, cannot be counted as a hiding and breeding ground. For this reason, whoever supports terrorists, follows in the footsteps of terrorism, attacks our soldiers, police, innocent people and shoots bullets, is the subject of justice and law, not politics. Those who cannot call a terrorist a terrorist and cannot build a wall between themselves and the separatist terrorist organizations are not politicians, nor can they be true sons of this country and nation. Explaining that it is a humanitarian duty to protect the terrorist Demirtaş, the Chairman of the CHP should tell us for God's sake, is it humane to make this statement? Is it an honorable act to praise betrayal? How can a terrorist say that injustice has been done to him in terms of human values and principles of law, and how will it be described? Our strength is as much as the strength of our national unity. If we fall apart, if we fall into inertia, if we get weak, if we struggle with each other, if we undermine each other, if we become each other's abyss instead of being each other's homeland, we will not be able to survive, we will not be able to preserve our historical existence. You see, we are under the siege of sedition. The decision of Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis to come to the islands off Bodrum is an overt provocation, as a matter of fact, it is a provocation that brings every possibility to the agenda. This person's complaint against Turkey, the EU and the USA, and his preparation to file a complaint with NATO indicates that the front of hostility is expanding day by day. The overwhelming majority of the countries we think are allies are intertwined with the separatist terrorist organization. Turkey's struggle for existence is sought to be prevented by the terrorist organization on the one hand, and by Greece, which is pawning imperialism, on the other. This homeland found its true owner a thousand years ago. The intervening ten centuries have added strength to the power of a great nation that has left its mark on history from this geography. The name of this nation is the Turkish nation.”
