Muse Will Release Their Next Album As NFT!

Muse's ninth studio album 'Will of the People' will be released on August 26th on NFT. It will also be the first album to chart in the UK and Australia. According to Serenade's website, the platform will use tier 2 solution Polygon to press the NFTs. The company describes Polygon's proof-of-stake (PoS) mechanism as 'much more efficient' than Ethereum's current proof-of-work (PoW) consensus algorithm.

Max Shand, CEO of Serenade, commented. 'Muse has always had a great appetite for innovation and pushing the boundaries of how they present their music to fans,' said Shand. He also added that 'using this technology to elevate the experience of their new album made a lot of sense'. Shand continued, 'all Serenade NFTs are printed on Polygon. We also value affordability and environmental friendliness. At Serenade, we pay gas fees on behalf of all users - artists and fans - because we want to replicate the seamless shopping experience that today's customers are used to, and Polygon allows us to do that at scale.

Muse Music Band

Formed in 2014, Muse won the NME Award for Best British Band in 2007, 2010 and 2011, among many other awards. It also won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best World Stage Performance in 2019 and the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2011 and 2016. In 2020, Muse also worked on Dapper Lab's CryptoKitties project to create digital collectibles.

Muse and CryptoKitties were the first for the Metaverse!

The NFTs of limited edition CryptoKitties consisted of the band's latest hit album. Simulation was inspired by the immersive, creative, visual world of Theory. The NFT collections, called Marty and Mibbles, were limited edition. In partnership with CryptoKitties, the collection was created as the first officially licensed music collection on the Blockchain. Marty is inspired by Matt Bellamy's transformation during Muse's Something Human video. Mibbles also depicts the mini-monster creating chaos in the band's video. Each NFT in the collection is community-approved. They are also available in limited quantities.   Source: nfxhaber.com
