Newegg's official Twitter account, tagging Shiba Inu's lead developer Shytoshi Kusama and Shiba Inu's accounts, "Contact us DM. We have a question for you."
This tweet made it inevitable for the Shiba Inu community to think that the company could add SHIB to the platform as a payment option.
Newegg started accepting Dogecoin last April. The company's Bitcoin acceptance dates back to 2014, and they were the first major e-commerce site to receive payments in Bitcoin at that time.
Founded in 2001 and operating for 20 years, Newegg is a public company listed on the Nasdaq. The California-based company has a market capitalization of $6 billion 400 million.
