Paypal to Allow Cryptocurrency Transfers
Cryptocurrency move from PayPal, the platform that allows safe shopping online or sending money to the desired person via just an e-mail address, with or without a credit card.
In the statement made by the online payment system PayPal, it was stated that PayPal users can transfer their cryptocurrency to external crypto wallets or crypto exchange accounts. With this decision, which was implemented to the system today, it is possible to transfer cryptocurrency to other accounts.
PayPal laid its first crypto offering on the table in the last quarter of 2020, the company initially provided trading and holding services for 4 main cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. But until now, users could not transfer these crypto assets to external crypto accounts or hardware wallets. PayPal announced in its latest announcement that they have clarified this issue.
In addition, PayPal manager Fernandez da Ponte, emphasizing that there is no fee charged for crypto transactions, stated that they do not work like a stock market as a reason for this, and that their crypto-related plans are related to trade.
Fernandez da Ponte said that while evaluating the downtrend of the cryptocurrency markets, it is necessary to look at the market in the long term and noted that they do not see a deterioration in crypto adoption.
