President of Argentina Made a Statement About Bitcoin
The President of Argentina made a statement about Bitcoin. President Fernandez expressed that he has a positive outlook on Bitcoin.
In Argentina, which has been battling the economic crisis for a long time, President
Alberto Fernandez said there is no reason to say 'No' to Bitcoin.
"I'm Approaching This Subject With Care..."
Speaking to the Argentine media, Fernandez answered the question of whether they would want to use central bank digital currencies or even make Bitcoin a legal currency like El Salvador, with these words:
“I don't want to go too far, but there's no reason to say 'No' either. Maybe this will be a good. When I asked, they said it had zeroed the effects of inflation. Actually, this is a global debate. I'll admit, I'm approaching this matter with caution. There are things that are hard to understand about the price increase. People all over the world are discussing it. I still think that the system is not fully expanded, but of course it is something to consider.”
Contrary to the positive comments of Argentine President Fernandez, Miguel Pesce, the head of the country's central bank, had made negative statements about the leading cryptocurrency earlier in the week. Pesce said, “
Bitcoin is not a real financial asset and does not provide lasting profitability.”
