Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse: “SEC Case May Be Solved This Year”
There have been new developments in the long-running lawsuit of Ripple, one of the popular cryptocurrencies.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse also commented on the lawsuit process. Brad Garlinghouse underlined that the company's ongoing legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission is looking "pretty good".
According to the court's amended schedule, requests for summary judgments will be fully disclosed before November 15. The judge will then have to review the case before announcing the verdict, which means the case could be resolved by 2023. The CEO of Ripple believes the lawsuit will set an important precedent in the industry.
In her final judgement, Judge Analisa Torres of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York stated: "A new calendar has been registered for Ripple and the US Securities and Exchange Commission."
